I upgraded from windows 8.1 single language to windows 10 home single language a few months ago and I haven't had an issue till now, in the driver download section for my laptop on the Packard Bell website there are Elantech and Synaptic drivers I'll download both and try to install them later when I get home , this also happened right after I rebooted the PC I dont recollect touching F6 or fn+F6, As for the drivers side I update my drivers regularly and this happened after I installed updated drivers for my system, I will try installing the drivers and if all else fails I'll reset the laptop using the Windows 10 installation I have. it doesnt show up in device manager even if i have show hidden devices on. when i disconnect my mouse my pointer disappears. Tecnically it could make the touchpad dissappear, lets say you had it disabled (and the laptop actually cuts electricity to it when you do) and installed the driver for it while it was disabled & the OS fuked up by not enabling it again or so while doing the install, the driver nor the OS now has any idea that the touchpad actually is there and since the OS fuked up (which honestly in windows10 is like a 50/50 chance that it does), it just put in a faulty installation, a wrong installation or just something the likes into your system and there you go.īut as I said allready, all of this is very very unlikely to beginn with.
